The 2019 Nebraska Grazing Conference will be held at the Ramada Inn in Kearney, NE on August 12 through 14. The conference will feature plant identification with Chris Helzer (The Nature Conservancy), rangeland and soil health with Pat Shaver and Dana Larsen, grazinglands management with Virginia Jin, Jerry Volesky, Jeff Bradshaw, Jacob Miller, Martha Mamo, and Andrea Basche, the art and science of winter grazing with John Maddux, Logan Pribbeno, Wayne Eatinger, Jim O’Rourke, and Bruce Anderson, as well as Jack Arterburn and Sarah Sortum covering rangeland resilence.

The Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition will also be hosting a Generational Transition meeting on Tuesday evening. A panel of producers will share their experiences with generational transitions, and experienced agriculture attorney, Pamela Olsen, will cover helpful legal tools for transition.
