Dr. Bolze’s career began as a beef extension specialist and faculty member at Ohio State University and Kansas State University, where he made significant strides in beef production research and education. Transitioning to the commercial sector, he held influential roles such as development director for the Certified Angus Beef Program, executive secretary of the American Shorthorn Association, and marketing director for the Red Angus Association of America and the largest Red Angus seedstock breeder in the U.S. A one-year contract at Chadron State College (CSC) evolved into a decade-long tenure, during which Dr. Bolze taught courses in beef production, animal genetics, physiology and nutrition, and farm and ranch management.
He values his role in aligning students with internships and job opportunities and treasures his interactions with the Bill and Virginia Coffee Family Foundation, the Practitioner in Residence program, the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition, and the ruminant production travel study tour. Dr. Bolze’s dedication to education and the livestock industry has inspired many and advanced the field of rangeland management. The Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition is proud to honor his unwavering commitment and remarkable achievements.
